  A virtual private server (VPS, also referred to as Virtual Dedicated Server or VDS) is a method of partitioning a physical server into multiple servers so that each has the appearance and capabilities of running as its own dedicated machine. Each virtual server can run its own full-fledged operating system, and each server can be independently rebooted and runs isolated from the other Virtual Dedicated Servers.

 For ultimate client control of resources we suggest our new line of VPS (Virtual Private Server) accounts. VPS accounts have more storage, bandwidth and their own guaranteed memory allotment. Also because your VPS account is just like having your own dedicated server you have root access and the ability to configure the server to meet your needs without having to consider other client's as is necessary with a shared account. You also can install any software you desire (as long as it's legal).

Let's go over a few things about the VPS accounts:
 * You will have your own mail server, ftp server, mysql, IMAP, e.t.c. so there are no limits on the number of emails, php script memory and all the other limitations associated with shared hosting.Special software can be installed upon request.

* You will have your own cPanel license for your VPS. Glitter Host can lease it to you for $10/month installation included or you are free to buy it elsewhere if you like (we will still install it free). Fantastico is $3/month, Installation $3/month, RVskin $3/month.
 Webmin / Virtualmin is a free hosting control panel that we can install at no charge.

* If you decide to sell hosting from your VPS we include Free Enduser Support for your hosting clients. We supply Vision helpdesk software for your clients to submit their tickets. The help desk software is on our generic server with a domain name that is not directly traceable back to Glitter Host. We install a Vision client registration and sign in form on your website (See example HERE). Your client signs in and submits tickets from your website. Vision is also customizable with your logo, header and footers so you can match your website design. The ticket is controlled, tracked and replied to using the main Vision program on our generic server. Vision also easily imports data from major helpdesks like: Kayako Support Suite - Kayako eSupport - Cerberus and WHMCS.  Your clients don't know that support isn't coming from your company unless you tell them.

*  We also lease programs that not only have client support but also automate cPanel setups and book keeping. They are:

* The main VPS servers are setup using 4 500 GB drives in RAID 10 which is a very fast and safe way of storing data. While it is unlikely data would be lost we don't include data backup. Like when you lease a dedicated server you are responsible for backing up your data. You can backup by downloading compressed files to your home computer or you can purchase network storage for automatic backups using our backup servers running R1soft backup software. * The VPS accounts come with 2 IPs included. Additional IPs are $24/year. (Justification for private IPs is required)
